I’ve created two new flyers to advertise two different aspects of the things I’m currently doing. So if you know of any developers looking for a writer or any schools/teachers who might like me to give a talk, please pass on the relevant flyer if you will.
I’ve been a bit remiss. Because I’ve been trying to post a lot on Twitter, Facebook and other places, I neglected to post anything here.
If you don’t already know, I’m involved in a Kickstarter for Kaptain Brawe 2: A Space Travesty. Please check it out if you haven’t already. Please consider pledging or at least help spreading the word if it’s not a game for you.
This has the potential to be a truly fantastic project. Not only does it fit with my sense of humour perfectly (as illustrated by my FREE short story), Cateia Games is a solid group of developers with lots of experience.
And if that wasn’t enough, they’ve also brought on board Bill Tiller, a superb artist whose work graced the excellent game, The Curse of Monkey Island.
Now is that fantastic or what?
While I’ve heard it said that some people think the goal is steep, I am firmly of the opinion that you get what you pay for.
It is our intention to make this game the best we possibly can and under that proviso I think the goal is not unreasonable. In fact, I think it’s a bargain of development. When you look back eight years to when I started work on So Blonde, the budget for that game was roughly three times what the Cateia Games guys are asking. Even without inflation I think you must agree that this represents incredibly good value for the project we intend to deliver, especially as English voices will be integral to the game.
I hope some of you will be able to see your way clear to supporting the game.
The Independent, a UK national newspaper, has just published a top ten list of free games and they included my game, Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso, which can be downloaded here.
I’m very honoured to be in the list, so huge thanks to Will Coldwell for putting the game in there.
(If you don’t know, the game is downloadable to play on PC only.)
It mostly sums up what I do. 🙂
Please feel free to share it if you wish.
I’ve re-vamped my wsebsite and given it a new look. I thought the old version was looking a little ugly, so I hope you like this new version.
We need your assistance.
The guys at Wisecrack games have put in years of blood, sweat & tears on the Sam Suede project
. Please share with all your friends, especially the gamers out there.
If you can become a backer, we’d really appreciate the support. Remember you will only be charged if the goal is reached.
Our campaign has just under a month to go, which is the normal campaign timeline for most Kickstarters. AND most successful Adventure Game Kickstarters have achieved their success in the 30 day window.
Anything you can do to spread the word will help all of us.
Every person counts.
We’ve made changes to the rewards and we will continue to add UPDATES, so check back often!
